Since prototyping is a work in progress, you will find that you need to edit several things as you go. You may need to edit the text or title of structure items, the name of clipboard items, the documentation of items, the name of organizations or groups in contacts and more.
Let's see how you can edit in different tab panels.
| Edit in... | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| Composer | Structure | Properties | Documentation |
| Clipboard | Organizations | Groups | |
Also, you cannot edit the menus of a menu
bar in the composer even though you see their text. You need to edit in Structure
or in Properties. The same goes for items within a toolbar.
A Structure tree item displays an icon with text. This text can be an id, a name, a title or a text. (Prototype and Forms tree items cannot be edited)
If the text is an id, it is generated dynamically by Designer and is non-editable. If the text is a name, this name can be edited in Properties. Only when the item text is a title attribute or a text attribute can it be edited in-place.
