Each tree item displays an icon and a text (id, title, name or text). In the example,
the frame has a frame icon (
)
and the title value Prototype Title is displayed on the right. But
for the menu bar, we have the menu bar icon (
)
and the name value Menu Bar1 on the right. The id is
generated by Designer and is unique
within the prototype.
The selection in the Structure view and in the Composer is synchronized both ways. There is also synchronization with the Palette view, Properties view, Documentation view and Feedback view. All these views display information and options relevant to the selected item in the tree.
A tree item text can be an id, a name, a title or a text. (Prototype and Forms tree items cannot be edited)
If the text is an id, it is generated dynamically by Designer and is non-editable. If the
text is a name, this name can be edited in Properties. Only when the item text is a
title attribute or a text
attribute can it be edited in-place.
